Have you tried originals? If so, if they work, you may have a bad solder point somewhere, or wrong point. Is it a wire install or quick solder method?

are you using a wiikey genuine or fake?

you need to probably flash the wiikey to latest firmware for it to work.

choose the right one for your region

did you run your wii serial thru the serial checker? did you only try the config disc? try a game backup burnt on a dvd-r (- not +) at 4x or 8x not lower. Also use proper media like verbatim or TDK
burning at 2x is too low, can cause problems

SERIAL IS: LEH125476926

Drive Chip is most likely GC2-D2B.
Drive Pins are most likely cut.

i have tried maxell dvd+rws, maxell dvd+r and dvd-r all at 2x, will try at 8x now. and ive tried back up games and they dont work either!

From looking at your photo, it would appear that the legs on the D2B chip are indeed cut. Your wiikey installation will not work unless you rebuild the legs of the D2B or expose the contacts by dremeling the D2B down until enough contact is exposed for you to solder to. I prefer rebuilding the legs of the D2B but it certainly is not for the weak stomached.

Take a little closer look at the D2B chip and see if there are 3 cut legs on it. I'll bet there are.

my board has the point 3 on it though. i thought the D2B boards didnt have them so u had to solder it to leg 5 on the IC??

It doesn't matter. If the legs are cut its not going to work unless you solder directly to the D2B where the legs are cut or rebuild the cut legs.

so i just got to solder pin 3 to leg 5 of the IC and it will work?? correct?

according to http://wiitracker.nintendo-scene.com/search.php they are cut! so do i just solder the pin 3 to the 5th leg on IC??

Jesus, maybe its better understood for you in pictures. Take a look at your drive. Study the following photo and try hard to understand.

If you don't get it, I give up. Maybe someone else can explain it better. Good luck.

right, there definatly cut! so which is the easiest way around this issue?

Well its not easy but I rebuild the legs of the chip with some stripped kynar wire. Like this....

The other way is to grind away part of the chip to where the cut contacts are more exposed to solder to.

would a wii clip work on the d2b to eliminate re-building the legs? ive tried to re-build the legs but i am finding it difficult. ive heard that the wasabi will work without having to rebuild the legs? if so will it be easier to install that instead of the wiikey??

Both the Wasabi and d2pro9 w/ 1.1b firmware or later will work. They will not require you to do reconnect the legs. If you want to go the easy route I'd do that. For me, it's the smart way because it takes the least amount of time to do.
