Pal games need to change the region to Japanese before burning. Freeloader is helping you to load other region games without changed the region. But it does not work with all the games.

Also, be aware that if your downloading the iso's, some are just simply bad, or patched by a noob, then uploaded they appear to work once initially inserted since you see the games name, but once you go to play, the screen stays black, or the console simply freezes and needs to be unplugged, and people think they are doing something wrong. My advice, don't patch games that don't require an update. Even if they do, some games require an update in order to play that game. Bricking really isin't that bad, don't get me wrong, no one wants to brick there system but in all actuality I have noticed that patching games more often than not is worse, since future games will recover you from bricking, and it only affects your online settings, so if you don't play online, you really have nothing to worry about. My advice, just burn it as is then play. If it asks for an update, then thats on you to decide.

You'll probably have better luck playing US games on a Japanese console since they're NTSC-U unless your english isn't that good. Also, most modchips will automatically change the region but make a habit of pre-patching the discs just in case. Whenever I play things off region I use WiiFrii and WiiBrickBlocker. Finally, do not install an off region update on your Wii. It will semi-brick.
