Please help wiikey stopped reading discs

My daughters wii just stopped reading every thing except GC originals get the error has occurred and eject disc message have a wii key and cant get my config discs or recovery discs to read. Any suggestions have 1.9g installed

sounds like a problem with the wiikey you need to strip the console down & get for wire breakages or a dry solder joint ?

Any other suggestions or does every one think thats the problem.
