Say hello to the brand new Wasabi!

No revolution here, but while other teams were busy trying to duplicate our 9 wire solution, we spent countless hours testing and improving the electrical design of our chip. This is to avoid the need of installation tweaks with rare "noisy" drives... and we're very proud of the result! We can safely say that we have created the most robust 9 wires chip on the market. Of course this new revision is 100% upgrade, pinout and feature compatible with the previous one.

The only other bonus is that it is fully compatible with the new D2C2 drive chipset (a.k.a. "Unmoddable D2C", md5sum a60cd3d6a4949db26add1580ba1be526) that is common in Korea and started to appear in other countries in May 2008. That means that even if you bought your Wii in May 2008 or later on, you know for sure that our chip will be compatible with it. And we even added some D2C/D2C2 auto-detection mechanism to make installer's life easier.

well, they pull it off again, props to wasabi, this is the first time ive ever seen an update from them!

could it be a Argon and d2Pro killer?

could be another crock of shi*e too. they didn't fix the first wasabi ,it was left to others to find a work around.

True the wasabi is a bad chip many problems all over the forums

I had taken them of my site due to the problems people where having

On the other hand they sell very well

what a pathetic answer , so its all right to sell a crock of shi*e because it sells well ? it did sell well b4 every body started having issues ,then nobody wanted to know. i will not be touching wasabis on a d2c until they have been thoroughly tested this time , i will be sticking with what works best the d2pro9 or the aragon, now these sell well and guess what , they work well too.

D2pro team were the first to announce a working d2c2 chip with video proof on Wiinewz. They are already shipping according to the thread on wiinewz. So even if Wasabi does come out soooooooon, they are still second to d2pro. I'd pick JTAG upgradable chip over DVD upgrade any day.

Uhu.. too bad D2Pro won't release the D2C2 firmware anytime soon according to some resellers, so not much use in the JTAG if they won't bring out anymore updates..

Glad to see that wasabi isn't dead in the water. I was getting kinda unnerved with never seeing them make any updates on their site.
