Im not sure if i should install wii homebrew channel if i sudenly come home oneday and find my wii bricked. IOS37 detects trucha signature, and if thats true it should also detect the HBC. Im still not sure what would happen if it does get detected;

1.would the wii be bricked?
2. Would you be banned from WiFi service in wifi enabled games?
3. or would it simply just not work?
4.How would it be activated int the future? (game update/system update/etc)

5. WOULD BRAWL AND ALREADY INSTALLED VC (WADS) STILL WORK? The backup of brawl i found is dvd5 so im guessing it would get detected too right?

These questions are really important to me, and i think other forum members. Thanks to anyone who knows the answers.

Well the easiest thing to do of course is to turn off automatic updates, that way you can't come home to a brick because your Wii will never be able to update itself without your permission.

Also, Bushing and co seem to think the Homebrew Channel will continue to work after IOS37 is activated if you read the FAQ at http://hbc.hackmii.com but if not it won't brick it.

As for your VC games, I wouldn't know but I imagine this is the most likely place your console would get an online ban from. I can't see Brawl (what does anyone see in this game?!) being detected either.

Also, I don't think a bump after only one day is warranted.....

The easiest answer is to wait and see. It sucks, but patience will pay off in this case.

thanks guys.

I would think that vc will stay because it is technically signed by nintendo...
