View Full Version : Games on 128mb
Ok, so fitting games on my 128mb has been something I've taken a keen interest to. So far I've managed to squeeze Mercury, Need For Speed, Metal Gear Acid, and NBA 06. I've searched this website for anymore games you guys have managed to fit but with no avail. I know there was a thread not to long ago asking this question (i think), but after searching and searching I decided I might as well just ask. So sorry if I sound like a broken record, I'm not sure if this question has been ask many times before.
So, what else have you guys made fit on a 128mb ms.
Also, since McDonald's came out with their best buy bucks on the large french fries I've been trying to collect as many as I can to afford a bigger memory card. However it appears that I'll probably obly be able to get a 256mb, the 512 is significantly higher priced, and for good reason. But I was wondering what you would do. Should I stick with the 128 I have now and just buy a new game, or should I buy a 256mb?
Thanks for your time,
Troy

1 GB's are only 60-80 USD now not expensive at all. 2 GB's starting at 130 +
As for 128, you can fit pinball, bubble bobble, lumines, star soldier that i know off of top my head.
Reality is if you jump to 256 you maybe able to play a few extra games not many more and to jump to 512 you midas well goto 1 GB.
P.S. Save your $$$ from buying fries and just buy a 1 GB :d

fired up easily fits a 128mb stick...
also wipeout will fit 128 mb stick... ive ripped it to around 109mb
Well I'm gunna go with Wipeout.
Ok, so what did you do to get it around 107mb. I know about the wad extractor, but what else. Does it matter which music files I delete (if there is any)? You dont need to give me exact names or anything, just a quick idea of what I can and cannot remove.
Thanks!
EDIT:
Ok, so I ran the wad rip, and it apparently isn't working for me. The orig and end wad files are the same size. Around 238mb give or take. I ran it twice. And I'm using the ripkit found in the stickied thread "How to fit UMD's...."
Any suggestions?

Can't you only use one of those 'Best Buy Bucks' per item or transaction.... therefore you'll save like $2 unless you get one of the bigger ones?
No, you can combine them. Last year a bunch of my buddies who worked at McD's all got ipods because they stole so many.
There are some restrictions, but only on video games, cd's and dvd's. Those u can only use up to 3 bucks off, but everything else is fair game.
Read the rules..they tell you

i got the size down to 111,686 KB...
the name of the ripkit is : _Psycho_Wipeout_Pure_RipSize_Update_12232.rar
try finding it somewhere...
or maybe youre doing it wrong
Ok, here's where I'm confused. I opened up the rip.bat and wanted to see exactly what wasn't working. The files that the program was trying to over write were slightly different by file name. So I manually editted the extracted files from the wad and came up with a 104mb data.wad file after rebuilding the wad. But in the PSP_Game dir there's also three different dirrectories all around 15-20 some mb's. So even with the data.wad at 104mb I'm still about 60 or so mb over what I should be.
I couldn't find anywhere that told me if I could delete any files in the PSP_GAme dir and they all look rather important.
Could you give me an idea of what your folders and files are like?
