Can anybody tell me whats up and what i need to do?? i have plenty of memory on my wii like 1600 blocks. Whats happenin here???

Im not sure but i think it only uses sd memory. Maybe if you didnt have an sd card inserted or the sd card doesnt have enough memory it would give you that error. BUT REMEMBER THAT I AM NOT SURE. try it with good sd card and see what happens.

Dunno what instructions you have, but i'll post here just in case. These worked fine for me.
Part I: Twilight Princess Hack Preparation
Format your SD card to FAT16 or FAT32.
Download the Twilight hack game saves and choose the correct file corresponding to your version of Twilight Princess. Put the proper game save file on your SD card in a directory called “/private/wii/title/RZDx/” on your SD card, replacing “RZDx” with RZDE, RZDP or RZDJ as appropriate (again, see the twilight post for more information on which file to use).
Rename the game save to “data.bin”.
Download the WAD installer v2.1 homebrew and extract the “wad-installer.elf” file to the root directory of the SD card. Note that this is the latest version which drops Wii remote support and supports multiple WADs.
Rename the “wad-installer.elf” to “boot.elf”.
Part II: WAD Preparation
Create a folder called “wad” in the root directory of your SD card.
Get some WADs. These are the data files that contain virtual console games that are normally bought from the Wii Shop channel. One WAD file represents one virtual console game.
Copy every virtual console game WAD you wish to install as a channel in your Wii menu to the “wad” folder. You can fill up your Wii’s internal memory quickly if you try to install every WAD in existence, so be picky and choose only the games you will play.
Part III: WAD Installation
Put the SD card in your Wii and load The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess game.
Load the hacked save game and either walk backwards or talk to the man directly in front of you. This starts the Trucha exploit and loads the WAD installer.
Attach a Gamecube controller to navigate the homebrew.
Let the program run and follow the on screen prompts to load the WAD installer.
Reset your Wii by pressing the reset button or using the Gamecube controller and sit back as each WAD gets installed onto your Wii. When this step is done, your Wii will reset itself.
Now when you go to your Wii channel menu, you should see the new virtual console channels which you should now be able click and play as if you had downloaded them.

The `not enough memory` error is probably caused by a bad wad.
Happened to me on SMB3, tried a different wad and it was fine....I did nothing different apart from change the wad to a different one of the same vc title and it installed fine, I uninstalled and tried the `bad` wad again and got the same error.
I know you said you have tried that...but so far, this is the only time I have ever come across that particular error.

Make sure that you uninstall any instances of a previous wads, by using waduninstaller by waninkoko. (works the same way as installing, and you need the original wad you installed).
Make sure that the wad is for your region.
Try using a different way of launching wad installer...e.g jayparadox released 2 excellent channels for installing and uninstallin wads, works the same way as the homebrew channel, and uses waninkoko`s wad installer/uninstaller.
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=86600 (page 2 has the uninstaller)
Just install them the same way you would with twilight, but once installed, you dont need the disc anymore, just set the SD card as you normally would and just launch the channel.

Alright i can do that but why would i need the unistaller if nothin has installed yet? I dont even want to uninstall them if i ever figure out how to do it.

05-25-2008, 07:47 PM
Once you figure it...you will want to uninstall, as there are lots of wads and not enough slots in the wii to hold them...a few n64 wads and your slots deplete quickly....and the only way to uninstall properly, is through wad uninstaller.
Wether you install the uninstaller is up to you, but if I was you, I would install it....nothing worse than the words "I told you so". :)
I will ask though....have you actually managed to install ANY wads so far?

I havnt been able to intall a single wad yet!! 73arm7 you gotta help me man. Ive been workin on this hack for freakin weeks now. Iv tried so many different things, I get alot of errors. Like the "failed to laod boot.elf error", and "Unable to install wads, Not enough memory available".(i had plenty of memory space on my wii by the way) And ive tried tons of wads from tons of sources, and lots of defferent elf loaders and sd cards. BUT I DID MANAGE TO INSTALL THE HOMEBREW CHANNEL WITH NO LIMIT. You shoulda seen me jump for joy when i installed this. But then i try to install the wads through it and it wont work. So basically can you give me a good guide on how to install it through the HBC? When i try to use the channel i get to a part on the black screen which at the bottom of the text it says "press A" I hafta get out the gc controller and press a and all it says after that is "RESET", i reset the wii and nothing is installed.... Sorry this post is so long but damn i need help!

I havnt used the HBC yet, but doesnt `Press A` mean press A on the wiimote?
Personally for wads, I use the wadinstaller/uninstaller channels...
To get these on the wii..using twilight hack..
Download this...http://www.megaupload.com/?d=DV66KC18
1. Format your SD card to FAT(16)
2. open the rar and put everything how it is on your SD card (except the readme file).
3. Goto the /private/wii/title/RZDx/ folder on the SD and replace the x with the letter of your Twilight disc. (To check the version, look at the the tiny writing on the inner ring of the data side of your Twilight disc)..it will read as one of these..
RVL-RZDP-0A-0 JPN -- Europe/Australia
RVL-RZDJ-0A-0 JPN -- Asia
RVL-RZDE-0A-0 JPN -- America
RVL-RZDE-0A-0 USA -- America
RVL-RZDE-0A-2 USA -- America
So, RVL-RZDE-0A-0 JPN on disc , you will replace x with E
4. Once you know the 4 letter code, go into the RZDE folder (I will use E for the guide) and rename the matching filename to data.bin and delete/move the others....so, folder RZDE, rename rzde2.bin to data.bin
5. Put SD card in wii and turn it on and goto the Wii Options>>
Data Managemant>Save Data>Wii and copy/delete your Twilight save
(If you have and want to keep your save, select copy and save to the SD
card, then delete from the wii)
6. Goto the SD card and you will see the save file called `Wiibrew Loader`
click on this and select copy, and copy it to the wii.
7. Start the twilight game, load the save, talk to the man...let the screen run with all the text.
8. you will be prompted to press the `reset` button to install the .wads, once they are installed, you will be prompted to press `reset`again.
You should now have 2 new channels, wad installer and wad uninstaller, all you have to do now is put the wad you want to install/uninstall into the /wad folder on the SD card and click on the appropriate channel.
Before using the channels...
Open up your SD card again on the PC and take out the wads in the /wad folder and remove the boot.elf before you try to install anymore, if you dont...you might uninstall your channels you just made. (if you need to remove the channels, place the wads back into the /wad folder and uninstall them by clicking on the uninstall channel ...Install channel 1st, Uninstall channel 2nd)

Hey i downloaded the rar file and then you said to open it... How exactly do i open the rar file because when i right click on it and hit open it says windows cannot open it? I didnt think you could open those files. And I only got one file from the download and it was the rar file.
One more thing when you say name the folder */wad* do you mean just wad??

rar files are compressed archive files. Go to http://www.rarlabs.com and download winrar so you can open the file.
Also /wad just means a directory called wad on the root of your SD card. By the way, have you tried a different SD card? I didn't run into any problems with any of this stuff.

Thanks guys i appreciate all your help.. but let me get this straight, you hafta extract every rar file you download before putting on the sd? And does this also mean you need to extract your WADS??? Im guessing this would be the reson it never worked for me... but please let me know!
Mordenkainen
05-31-2008, 12:48 AM
You only need to extract the .rar (or .zip) files. You shouldn't need to do anything special with the wads.
Just put the .wad files in the wad folder of your sd, use the wad installer as detailed above, and you should be fine.

Well you say to extract the RAR files and the WADS are RAR files so once i download them do i extract them or just rename them?
73arm3
05-31-2008, 10:28 AM
99% of the time, the wads will be in rar format, so extract them, and you will probably get something like title.wad, you can rename the file once you have extracted it...I would recommend renaming the wads, because you need the same name wad to uninstall what you installed.
e.g...
mario64.wad to install
mario64.wad to uninstall.

Thanks for all your help but i have one last question... What exactly is a rom and how do you load it to the wii like a wad? ...My bad What i really ment to say is 73arm3 is ballin!
73arm3
06-01-2008, 04:33 PM
A rom is basically a dump/copy of an original game e.g mario64.z64 is a copy of the mario64 cartridge (simlplest terms).
There are different ways of playing roms, and by far the easiest is to run them through an emulator, you can inject certain roms into existing wads, but the compatability isnt that great.
Here is an easy SNES emulator in .wad format, it will install a channel on your wii (install using twilight hack or wad installer channels) which you run like any other wad.
http://www.mediafire.com/?mjin21yv3jy
(credits to PaRaDoX for the banner, the LoPsT for the app, creffa and nightstalker for the injector and deba94 for final wad)
(rename file to something simple...e.g snes9x.wad)
Make folders on your SD card like this...
/SNES9X/ROMs ------- place your roms in here
/SNES9X/SAVES ------ for the save files
I cant tell you where to get your roms, but you will be in emulator paradise when you get it running.

doesnt `Press A` mean press A on the wiimote?
no it does not. it means press A on a gamecube controller you have connected to your wii. If you dont have one connected, then press the restart button on your wii console.
To the original thread starter: I had the same problem with a "MLAAK" wad. got a different wad and it worked like a charm.
