After the fact that the mod is in and working, what needs to be done in order for the wii to work. Do i need to update anything, install anything, use a certain program, or can i just mod the wii put a burnt game in and start playing??

your d2pro should come with the latest firmware on it, just put in your clip "hopefully the clip will work" and away you go nothing else to do except enjoy ;)

Do i need a clip for my D2Pro9 Wire? I was planning on just soldering the wires, is it a lot easier with the clip?

I don't really keep track of the Wii clips but I don't think they have a clip for the 9-wire d2pro yet. Please correct me if i'm wrong. As for clips pertaining to the d2pro I'm only aware of the 13 wire version.

yes you do need a clip its a Wii-Clip v4c , but the they are not available at the moment, all the stock they released was faulty and had to be recalled, suppliers are expecting new stock soon.

Why would you say "yes you need a clip"??? You are able to just solder if you are good enough.

I'd say you better be pretty damn good to solder it. You do need to solder to some legs.

your only option at the moment is solder it , there are no Wii-Clip v4c yet.
just take your time and you will be fine , if you haven't soldered to ic legs before ? i suggest you practice first, as these are tricky to solder too especially if you haven't soldered to them b4.

I'd fully agree with that, I've done it and my eyes are crossed for 2 days when done :)
