Do i have to update d2pro 13 wire?

do i have to update it to the latest firmware to play ssbb, smg, mario kart, and other problem titles? I dont feel like getting the programmer if what i want to play already works. If not what do the new firmwares do?

You don't have to upgrade the d2pro for any of those games. It will work as is.

The second version of the 15 wire firmware addressed a clicking issue. Further updates updated it to a 9-wire firmware and 9-wire firmware on D2C then 5-wire support for DMS, D2A and D2B.

just get the latest firmware installed on your chip, before you get it installed.
i always update to the latest firmware before i do a install.

well i just bought d2pro presoldered onto wii clip from modchip.ca and im not sure if they update it or not. Honestly, i dont care cause the updates dont have anything i need.

BTW does the JTAG work on d2pro? d2pro is parts of the actel a3p family isnt it? so, i would think so. just making sure with you people.

you need the d2pro programmer to update the the d2pro.
