Help...XBOX v1.1 w/ PBL 1.3.5i

Can anyone please help solve the riddle???

I am trying to get a different BIOS to load using MechAssault(MA) and the Mordens_Audio_hack_MA_V3. I have an XBOX v1.1 w/ dash 4920 and I can get PBL 1.3.5i to boot with the supplied X2_4979_67.bin to the evolution dash 3935 using the Mech Assault method...btw I have removed the mxm loader and boXplorer apps (see file listing below).

I would like to get it to boot a bios with the Eject Fix that works so I can eject the MechAssault(MA) disc and try something like XBMP. I thought 4979 was supposed to have the EJECT FIX but I guess I was wrong as every time I eject the disc it comes out half way then resets.

OK...Next part of the adventure...

I have attempted to build a BFM bios of X2_4980_06, X2_4980_67, EvoxD6EF, EvoxM7EF and others using XBtool_1.0.13b2 and what I believe will create a BFM bios using the debug RC4 Key in the Morden hack (the unpack, copy files to bfm_* files in bfm folder and convert to BFM) Then when I enter the menu in PBL135i to choose an alternate bios that I place in the BIOSES folder, with all the dashboard paths adjusted correctly, the system seems to load the bios then resets and the start of MA runs once again.

I would really like to get an ejectable version of the save game working as I also have a v1.5 that I would like to employ also...

Any suggestions greatly appreciated...

When Mech starts, it sets the PIC to reset if the DVD is ejected.
U must install Morden's to the HD and then reset on eject will be disabled.

As for your BIOS editing, u seem to have done it correctly, but the BIOS'es u used will load default.xbe from the DVD first, so Mech restarts. Install Morden's to the HD to resolve this too.

Ding Ding...Ok I think I am seeing something here...

First on the DVD default.xbe part...I changed the path of the 3 drive path files...the first to e:\...\evoxdash.xbe and the second to c:\xboxdash.xbe while the 3rd is blank. I never changed the DVD one. So if I blank out the DVD one it should then default to one of the drive paths? Is the boot sequence DVD then the 3 drive paths?

Second...From what I am gathering there is no way to create a save game hack that allows one to eject the dvd with out a reset. The only solution is to install to the harddrive. Correct? If so...bummer...
