WIFI has Stopped Working !!!!!!!

I have had my PSP portable for several months now. My Wifi used to work fine to play online or to use it to browse the web, etc. In the last few days I have tried to use wifi and it no longer works. I constantly get the error message
" A connection error has occurred. The WLAN switch is not turned on. "

But the thing is, I have the switch on. As a matter of fact, I have tried it with the switch (the one to the left side of the joystick nub) in both positions over and over again and nothing ever works anymore. I can't browse the web , can't play online games, can't do anything using Wifi anymore.
I don't know why this has happened. I keep my psp in perfect condition, I have never dropped it or banged it in any way.
My PSP is Firmware 1.50
Has this happened to anyone else and is there a way to fix it !?!?!?!

its a bug of a homebrew application that writes directly to the flash memory,did you use any version changer or anything else that mess with the firmware?Just reset to factory default settings and it will work again.Just try it.

Hi. Thanks for trying to help. I set everything back to factory defaults, but it still does not work. I used to get a red light (sometimes flashing) when the wifi was working, but now I never get the red light anymore either. Not sure if that means something.

i had this the power wire has come loose that supplies the wifi card its power trust sony to use cheapass solder just resolder and it hould be fine

when the switch is on, does the light of the WIFI blink?

Maybe your WIFI system is damaged but don't worry it is repairable.
