Looks way better this time then in the first game. Like Cliffy says: Bigger, more bad ass then the first one ;). Oh, btw..the new meele with the chainsaw looks gr8 out! :D

that looks amazing even down the chunks being blown off the huge thing, the models look great, the backdrops have more colour and cinematic appeal and the chainsaw mechanics just look like a bloodbath. can't wait.

Now how about not trying to ignore the fact that GT is biased and has BS comparisons and post the news I submitted last night about how GT took 2 PS3 videos of Grid and dumbed down the PS3 version to make the 360 side look better while at the same time the 360 video was also of PS3 footage. Evident by the L1,L2,R1,R2,X,Square,Triangle buttons on the "supposed" better looking 360 video?

Come on MC, we know you love 360 but start posting real news. How about the MS 3rd Quarter report of how they have a 5Million lead Globally on the PS3 in terms of "sell through" (yes, meaning sold to customers) and not a 6.4Million? Meaning one console could be undertracked in the US or another could possibly be over tracked.

I submit these all the time and this site continually ignores it.

Not digging on GeOW 2 at all, just wondering why they would use a site that is biased to make comparisons. Even the GTA IV video where they try to make the PS3 version look like it has just as much Pop up issues during the Helicopter ride by moving quickly and on an angle in the PS3 version and nice and slow in the 360 side of the comparison in order to limit the pop in.

Yeah i looked at the original GOW vid and thought the same, it never looked that bad till now and it still looks better than most games released even now.

Looks fantastic. I think they both look great. Gow2 definitely has more color, and more interesting looking environments, but the player models and the bad guy models look unchanged. When you factor in everything overall, Gow2 definitely leaves Gow1 in the dust. That said, I have only played Gow in bits and pieces at other people's houses, this makes me want to pick up the PC version.

I wonder when Gow2 will make the port?

But who cares, i really loved Gears for its multiplayer.

I'm still looking forward to Ghostbusters more but this comes right after. I played the first GOW so many times i can't count on my 360 then i got it for the PC and played it again for achievement points and because it looked nicer running on my 2 512 EVGA 8800GTS's running in SLi.

Definately looks great. As for the length, if it gives me 10-15 solid hours of single player on the harder settings I am happy.

With all the great games out they all can't be 30-50hr games. I just started playing Mass Effect two weeks ago and probably won't touch it again for another month thanks to GTA4. Plus NG2 is coming out and that is going to be the next game to beat. Too Human could be interesting, Alone in the Dark looks cool, SC4, Lego Indy, Lego Batman, Force Unleashed, the list goes on.

There are so many great games coming out that between work, and a personal life, I don't have time to devote 30hrs to every game. Sometimes a shorter campaign isn't so bad, they can keep it more focused and not try to stretch it out just for an extra hour or two of game play.

Mate the problem is not people 'refusing to understand that GT is bogus'. We are just looking at the Gear 2 vid and thinking how good it looks and can't wait to play it. That's what gamers do.

No one gives a flying f**k about what you are on about. Or certainly not in this thread. We are looking at Gears 2, thinking it looks much better than Gears 1, and can't wait to play it come this fall :)

whoever thinks this game looks the same as the first one has got to have their eyes checked. i expected gow2 to look similar to gow 1 because gow1 already looked killer and was supposedly pushing the 360 close to the limit. But after seeing this video there are so many little things all around in gow2 footage that just make it look that much better. framerate looks good too! People who actually played gow1 can automatically see a difference at first glance i would think. plus im sure at the end of development there will be fine tweaks to the look. this is stile early footage!

looks the same to me with slight improvements but thats not a bad thing since it already had good graphics. I'm hopping they made the game play less repetitive this time which from the video it looks like they did, I also hope the grenade is easier to throw. this should be a good title this holiday.
