If this needs to go in another forum I apologize I just figured this would be the best place to post it.

For those interested I have tested changing the soundtrack on SSX, and it does work. You do the same thing as you would with Burnout only using different file names and extensions this time.

I am now gleefully enjoying this game with a custom soundtrack. I am unsure as to wether or not the track listings can be changed I have not yet looked into this, but I would presume that this could be done again in the same manner as Burnout.

Yep it works, this was the first thing I did to that game ;)

also, the sound quality is better with this game than BurnOut, the file format/encoding that TOCA "Exact Audio Copy PSP Edition" must be more compatible with this game than BO.

you can get it here

hxxp://www.codemasters.co.uk/games/?showdownloads=1632

how to shrink the game

unpack the iso using your fav iso tool (winrar works as well)

goto
SSX_On_Tour_USA\PSP_GAME\SYSDIR\UPDATE

make empty .txt files and name them
DATA.BIN
EBOOT.BIN
PARAM.SFO

replace the original files with these new 0k files

goto
SSX_On_Tour_USA\PSP_GAME\USRDIR

make empty .txt files and name them
pad0.pad
pad1.pad

replace the original files with these new 0k files

if you want to do the same for the music..

SSX_On_Tour_USA\PSP_GAME\USRDIR\data\eatrax

replace the original files with new 0k files, or use your own music that you converted and renamed .

repack the iso using a psp iso tool, like UMDGen_v1.00

you can also use another tool to repack the iso without adding new things
YA_UMD_iSO_Shrinker_v0.3b "Yet Another UMD iSO Shrinker v0.3b"

this should shrink the iso from about 1.3 GB to 660 MB

I hope this helps

Yes, you can modify the track listing. Just edit eatrax.bin

i tried editing the track list for NFSUMW, (an EA game, so possibly similar routine...) - but modifying the tracklist (the same as the eatrax.bin in SSX) didnt have any effect.
