an doing the 007 exploit and i got as far as renaming XFT to XTF or was it vice versa then went for tea came bak and FlashFxp had dissconcted fae the xbox and now i cant reconnect???

how ma set up is i connect to another pc for the internet no routers or anything just network cards, i have a second network card for the xbox in ma pc

sommit else that is confussing me is you say edit the evox.ini wae ma network settings IPCONFIG say its ip :169.254.105.48 and submask is 255.255.0.0 is that wat i put in the ini file??? and how come the 007aufsavewithevoxinstaller has 2 evox.ini files??? which do i edit??? one is in a temp folder

Ok so let me see if this is correct. Your setup is that you have 2 netowrk cards. 1 network card is connected to another domputer via a Crossover network cable and the other network card is connected to the xbox via a crossover network cable.

If this is correct then i recommend that you make the IP address on your second network card (the one connected to the xbox a static IP address. Set it to something like 192.168.0.1 and Subnet to 255.255.255.0).

Next change the evox.ini file (dont need to change the one in the TEMP folder) to suit this netowrk address (mak it static also, something like 192.168.0.2).

After doing this you should be able to connect to the Xbox just fine.

so run ipconfig get ma ip address then goto network connections and in internet protcals and enter the ip details there?? how do i change ma network cards settings??

so i can just change the details on the xbox itself

well glad i never opened ma xbox :D cos i left it off for 2 days and now it wont even load a game so ill take it bak to the shop and get a new one :D:D:D

it wont load any games back up or oringinals so cant load 007 under fire to FTP the xbox:( and i have no M$ dash

In this case your only option to FIX the box would be a HDD swap but if you are able to return it, go with that.

well took it bak and no problems :D:D:D:D just wish i took ma broken MOD job xbox bak cos the shop NEVER even looked at the xbox :( then i could have just fixed the software MOD'd xbox and get 2 off em :D:D. shame really that i never.
