According to reports, Microsoft will next week unveil a Xbox 360 motion controller which is "geared specifically for Banjo Kazooie 3 gameplay." Some members of the press have apparently already seen the controller being used with Banjo Kazooie 3. Banjo Kazooie 3 will be shown at a press event next Tuesday, so if true, we should see more information about the controller then.

well it was bound to happen... the sooner the better. Its gonna take 3rd party devs time to code for it, so it makes sense to get it out as fast as they can.

This is good news, The n64 version is one of my favorite games, well... I like most n64 games better than the newer stuff, but that means it's out there, and just waiting to be leaked although that is kind of doubtful

anyways, I hope It's not a game that you have to jump around and make yourself look really stupid :)

I predict near instant failure...only one peripheral has ever manged to get much 3rd party support...the original dual shock controller and that was simply because it was optional within the games...they worked without it.

I agree. They waited too long to decide on motion controls. If developers are going to implement motion controls this late in the game, they are probably going to do it for the Wii where the fans have already accepted it. I can only see maybe a few first party games and some XBL Arcade games even touching this.

It's going to be a limited audience. Unless they include it with the game.

totally agree with both of you. this will be a waste of time and money. it's far too late to introduce motion controls for the 360. also, the motion controls in most ps3 games are included just to make 'some' use of the motion contols. most of the games that have it feel clunky and feel like it was a last minute addon just to please sony.

if this is microsofts way of trying to fit in with the wii, or even the ps3, this is totally going to go belly up. personally, we've managed to live this long without them on 360, and the games are still excellent without them, there is no need for them.

also, sony should slowly abandon motion control in games and let it die out. the wii is the only console that is pretty much designed around the controls. now that lair has been patched to allow use of the analogs instead of motion only, i may pick up a copy.

rumble is the only feature across the board of all systems that seems useful and can be implemented in almost any title. like it uncharted, where you have to cross those frickin logs with the motion controls, totally doesn't work very well and could have easily been done with the sticks.

personally, rumble = useful and easily added to most games. motion = useless and only added to games to 'at least' use the feature in some way.

i even think the mgs guy said that he really didn't care for motion control and only added it to please sony and that it really didn't fit into the game.

damm, one of the games that i want is going to be probably ruined by motion control or if not ruined be forced to buy it to enjoy it as intended.

just great :(

This is not the same company that brought the original Banjo game. Most of the best people have left Rare.
I bought both Perfect Dark Zero and Kameo and they were ok games (not good, not great). They use to have better people and better quality control from Nintendo (when that use to mean something).

Flame me if you want, but this game is nothing to get excited over....plus a new controller launched with it.....it will probably end up being like Viva Pinata.

Well ill predict it will get just as much support as the xbox live vision cam.

Rare should just go back to Nintendo if they make Nintendo games that now even require Nintendo controllers.
It's a bit odd though, most good Nintendo games don't really need the motion stuff, but when Rare makes a game that previously didn't need it for a console that doesn't have it, they suddenly make it with motion controller stuff.
I hope they don't **** it up to bad, Banjo Kazooie 3 is the only game I've been waiting for since the launch...

i think the motion controller is excellent move by microsoft saving parents from buying 2 consoles, now all the family can enjoy 1 console but microsoft needs to support it with lots of exciting mini games.

if banjo is motion controlled it better have full 360 pad support, motion control is crap on any platform including the wii and ps3 nobody wants it on the 360.

Totally agree! Super Mario Galaxy did almost never use it as far as I know.. some pointing only, and to climb.. usesless.. And it made a great plattformer.. Usually it just feels tacked on in last minute... I guess the developer says to his team: Damn.. we forgot about motion controll.. Make something up.. just hurry, we have to deliver this game in about 1 hour!

Hu....Wha......Wai..............This just does not compute!?!
Mashti wrote a post in the Xbox forum that did not include: fanboy, xbot, RROD, or Micro$uck.
Actually (unless there is subtle sarcasm) I would say this post had no negatives in it!

depends on who you ask wouldn't you say? racing games and fps are horrible without rumble. motion control in racing games and fps are clumsy and inaccurate.

but one persons rumble is one persons motion control. personally i'd rather have rumble over motion control. everyones opinion should differ.

Why is it so hard for MS to utilize Rare properly? Just because Nintendo uses motion controls doesnt mean that we have to wait 5 years for Banjo Kazooie 3. Not everyone is impressed with FPS and mature themed titles.

Rare is a joke. They wasted time on garbage like Grabbed by the Ghoulies and Viva Pinata, when they could have been working on Banjo Kart, New Conker, BK 3, Killer Instinct.

MS has a lot to learn about gaming that is geared toward all ages.

Will MS ever have an original Idea instead of copying someone else...... oooh an original Wii360 remote???
Umm need another example.. first came Firefox then MS IE7 copied all the cool features like tabbed browsing and acted like it was their Idea...

this is true, thats how they demolished netscape also. after netscape wouldn't sell out to them, microsoft simply said they will just crush them with their own (netscape) ideas basically (ie, no pun intended, ie was born).

everyone realises why there really aren't any windows clones? of course microsoft copied apple, and apple copied xerox palto alto with the gui.
