Hi there, ive tried searching with no results so was wondering if anyone can help. My 1gb memorystick has just died. The PSP says it cannot format and neither can my card reader, i cant open it up or anything. I read somewhere ages ago that this can be fixed, any help would be greatly appreciated.

the only way i know of fixing em is with a pc card reader but you say this isn't working right?

then you need to warranty it or return it to where you got it, which i hope was not ebay

I did get it from ebay. I have a card reader but it doesnt recognise it, i cant format it or explore it. Is there any software i can get or anything that will revive it?

not that i know of dude, when you got it from ebay was it sealed and definately 100% genuine?

the reason i ask is theres a **** load of fake mem cards advertised on there

i sincerely hope you didn't end up with one of those

It's not a fake one but i didnt know that, thanx. Ive had it for about 6 months now with no probs at all until now. Its really pissin me off now, wouldnt be bothered if it was just a 256 or 512 or something.

in that case then mate you need to send it back to the manufacturer. it'll have a warranty so they should just send you a new one

Almost all Sony cards from eBay are fake ones... They're always shipped from Hong Kong... The packages look real, but they aren't... You probably have a fake one I'm afraid... :(
