View Full Version : Somebody, please give me the basics of FlashMe

What I have:
DS System
EZ Flash II Powerstar 1Gb cart
FlashMe-compatible wifi card

What I don't have:
Understanding of how the flash cart fits into the mess.

I know that you put the FlashMe app onto the flash cart, use the wifi app to load the program onto the DS that runs the FlashMe app from the flash cart. I know you flash the firmware from there, and are able to load DS games from your flash cart.
What I don't get is whether or not you can have multiple DS files on your flash cart, whether or not you can have ANY menu (one DS file and a few GBA) on the flash cart, or if it has to be dedicated to the ds.gba file.
Also, I read something about having to patch some DS apps to get them to actually run on the DS. What's this about, and what are the most-used programs like this?

well if you actually read the forums.....

To play DS games, which is what you probably want to use this card for. you will either need to

a) run wifime each time you want to play
b) Run flash me, re-flash your bios, and then press ab,xy to run DS files from the gba slot

as for patching, yes you need to patch the files before they will run (Properly?). The program was listed on maxconsole's news page.

Please do some research before posting and bumping threads that could quite clearly be answered by reading material from this site alone! Also It baffles me why, considering you have all of the pieces required to get yourself started that you haven't just experimented

This forum is for asking questions, as I did. That's why they give normal users the ability to create topics. Poking and prodding through every single topic that makes mention of a subject is a huge waste of time and only turned up more questions.

Unless you have an original launch phat DS (v1), then wifime wont work

There's a search feature for a reason.

Also, it works on v1-3 not just v1.
