Right, so i've looked into may ways to get mine modded, and a thought occured to me, can i format a new hard drive and mod it before putting it into the xbox, if so, how could i go about that, i have a feeling i can use XboxHDM and some sort of exploit, am i on the right track?

I know Softmodding the tried and tested way is the easiest, but i cant get the items needed for that, plus i would like to make the hard drive bigger and have it modded straigh away without any fussing about with memory cards ect.

If anyone can help me out with this, it would be very much appreciated.

you can still do a softmod without needing a save game exploit, i posted a very good tutorial here in these forums using uxe to exploit the xbox and via hotswapping, i suggest you read it carefully before doing so and don't rush....
