I did some searching over these past few days and havent found anyone with posts with problem similar to mine.
I checked the install and it seem fine. It is able to read original game disc but wont read (most) back up. At first i thought it was poor DVD disc (Memorex) that i was using so i went out and got some Verbatim DVD-R like some people suggested but result is intermittent.
I burned Baroque game on Memorex DVD, at first the Wii read the game and able to start it but after about 30 seconds it error out. After that it wont read the disc at all. Reburned the game on some other cheap generic DVD and it worked. I tried another game (No More Hero) on Verbatim DVD and it worked. I was able to play the game for about 30 mins. Thought i might be good to go from there, burn two more games, didnt work. I test burn a few more games but still doesnt work.
I tried to update the firmware of the WiiKey firmware to 1.9s but still doesnt work either. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
P.S all game were burned using ImgBurn at 2.4x or 4x

i have something similar, try TDK DVD+R, the only type that my Wii loves!!
your Wii may like it as well! :P
burned 10 dvd-r TDK, only 4 of them work (burned on the same way), but some times they work and sometimes not, (most of the times not working)
only TDK DVD+R always work with me, "Creation" dvd+R work few times, but i'm wasting dvds!!!
.....is there any problem with burner or wiikey innstall, settings etc?

Grab a multimeter and adjust the laser, its quite simple to do.

I will try to update my DVD rom firmware to see if this will work. Also i think my Wii is running 3.1 firmware, should i update it to latest? If so, should i be worry about the update rendering my Wii useless due to WiiKey?
POT mod will be the last thing i try...most complicate :(
Thanks for your helps. I will report back my progress.

It could still be media. When I first modded It took me 3 media types before it finally worked. My first was TDK, gave me DRE hell and slow loading times. Second was CompUSA generics that didn't work at all. Then Nexxtek finally worked for me. I also found Kodak, and Sony worked well. Playo would give an occasional DRE. After I had two crap brands fail on me I was just about to buy a new chip. Try a third it might work. What you've described is almost exactly what happened to me with the TDKs.

My experience has been pretty hit and miss. At first I couldn't get anything to read, then I figured out regionfrii and brickblocker, that let me play pal games on my wiikey wii that I bought right when they first hit the shelf.
I was burning games on Sony +r media with pretty good results. Some games refused to play though. I ran out of disks and bought Verbaitm +R's (Because I burn alot of DVD's and +R is really what I need for that). Those have been very finekey for me. I have many, many coasters. I noticed that my burner was only going at 1X speed though.
I moved the burner to another computer that is faster and has a better IDE setup (DMA mode) and I also installed a GDR8161B DVD-Rom drive I found in an old e-machines (to rip wii games with, tested and it works). I updated my ASPI driver with forceaspi to the recommended 4.60 version. I updated the firmware on my Lite-on LDW811S burner to HS0R. I updated the system bios (it's a Dell). and I bought some Sony DVD-R media. WIth this setup I was able to burn Batallion Wars2 at 2X and it seems to work perfect. I have NEVER been able to burn that disk so it seems that I am on the right track. I imagine that if I can get some Verbatim -R's I will have the perfect setup.
Don't be so quick to start turning screws on the Wii, it's probably your burner or media, or both.

Updates:
-Checked WiiKey install
-Update my Samsung DVD burner firmware to latest found on website.
-Update Wii firmware to latest (3.2u i think)
-did the POT mod (changed it from 715 to 594)
-Burned a few games at 4x with the new firmware and Verbatim and Memorex DVD (i ran out of cheap one)
Still not working. Back up games that worked before still work. I tried the new burned DVD along with all the others previously burned, result still the same.
Any else i should try?
Edit: just read the last two responses. I will try to get some Sony +R tomorrow. I'm running Vista and SATA Samsung DVD burner. Not sure if it has anything to do with this. I'll download some games off the web to test as well.

if you get no joy then it might be your laser, cant think of nothing else.its worth trying different media though.

After quite intense testing still no result.
-Downloaded a few games from the web
-Table Tennis
-SoulCalibur Legends
-No More Heroes
I tested burn those 3 games with my computer and laptop at 4x. I also used Memorex DVD-R, Verbatim DVD-R, and Sony DVD+R, here is the results:
-Table Tennis - does not work at all
-SoulCalibur Legends - work via Verbatin 4x and Sony DVD 4x(also tried to burn at 8x and still work.
-No More Heroes - Work via Verbatin 4x and Sony DVD 4x
From this it seem like it is not the media or burn speed. Possible bad WiiKey install? or bad version of the game i downloaded? I'm not sure what else to do from here. Any suggestions?

Yes i updated my Wii firmware to the latest. The WiiKey is legit, the package came with a WiiKey and a WiiKey holographic sticker.

I trust that yours is legit. But I've seen some clones that came with the holographic sticker as well.
Like everyone has suggested. It's just the drive not being able to properly read the games. If it reads some and not others and the behaviour is consistent that is most likely the cause.
Change media. If all media fails, then only solution is the POT adjustment.

i already did the POT adjustment, changed it from ~715 down to ~594. The guide i follow said close to 600 so i assume 597 is ok. I also found another guide that said to go down to about 450. Not sure which one to use.

They estimations online are usually best approximations. I've done POT tweaking on PS2's, GameCubes and first generation XBOX's. The numbers are a general guide. Just tweak a bit then test your media with it to see if it's improved. But remember to stay within safe limits of course.
I've had situations where the tweaks were way off or I tweaked it completely in the opposite direction to get it to work. But it takes a lot of persistence and patience.
At first go with online suggestions. Test your media. If it still fails then it comes to the point where you have to run the guess and test method while staying within safe limits.

what do you mean by "Test your media"? test the DVD disc?

Just saw your reply on the WiiPot Screw guide, and really, the lower 500 is where you should be. NO LOWER THAN 500 though... Anyway, as some other people have mentioned (I noticed your post on Wiikey Installed, can't ready most backups...(or something like that) you burner is probably the cause of you problems. Memorex DVDs suck, so I would completely expect them not to work, and I've commonly seen people have intermittent luck with bad burners/good media. Go get yourself an NEC 3550A, or an NEC 3520, or some other NICE burner, burn at no higher than 8x (prefferably the rated speed of your discs), If you read some of my other posts inside the Wii Pot Fix thread, you will see me explaining some techniques for you to test the quality of your burns with. Try to read and follow those steps, then we can EASILY pinpoint if hte problem is medai/burner related or Wii reelated. (THIS IS WHAT HE MEANS BY "TEST THE MEDIA!) Many times just getting a good burner and media fixes all problems. I use an NEC 3550A with Liggy & Dee's custom firmware, and I use ONLY Verbatim Movie grade DVD-Rs, not +Rs, these burn BEST at 8x, not lower or higher. So I urge you to read my other posts to better understand what I'm trying to explain, then test your media. Let me know, but I'm a little slow checking back. I'll try to check here everyday if I can.
