Wii Games Online

I was wondering if anyone knows if theres problems with playing backup games online? I really want to play Mario Kart Wii online:(

Mario Kart works fine as backup
SSBB, now that's a horror story. Can never find anyone online to play. Can only do spectator, or friends.
What a shame for a franchise game.
