don't use either of em if you have a wiikey. If you don't have a wiikey, don't use either either and instead remove the channels from the update or swap the updates with one of your region.

now it confuses me more.....my wii console is pal and i have d2pro to be installed and pal games i gathered from the internet. I have read that many wii console got bricked because of the updates from the games. so wiu1.1 and wii brick blocker has the same use to block the updates? any icomparison between the two?

If you have PAL games and a PAL console, then just burn the games as is. There is no use in removing the updates, in fact, just do them.. they are MEANT for your console.

I updated to 3.2u and I updated the NTSC Brawl on my NTSC Wii a while ago.
And I can't even get the config disc to read on my Wii... but all of my other games work just fine... like Brawl,SMG,Bully etc...
Manias you mentioned something about I might try "padding" my dvd burner, not sure what you meant.
Thanks elm

did you download 1.4 config disc? did you try gcos? padding means you pad the iso of the config disc to get it to a gamecube game size, which some burners burn better.

My Wii won't even read Wiikey's config disc... it says "Error" just like MK and Opoona. I'll try padding it, any guides available on how to do it correctly.
Thanks elm

This is how to pad the Wiikey Config 1.4 disc and 1.9s Firmware update.
Download the files here for the region of your console:-
http://www.wiikey.cn/resources.html
Btw, ignore the 9mb config version posted on this forum. Its not needed and my method I'm showing you now works 100% if followed correctly.
Extract this attachment which includes "Filechop.exe" and "Fixsize" to a folder named "Wii" (without the quotes) on the the C:/
Extract and copy both the firmware update 1.9s and Config 1.4 disc iso's to the "Wii" folder on the C:/ containing the ""Filechop" and "fixsize" files.
Next, open up the Command Prompt on the PC and navigate to the "Wii" folder on the C:/
In no particular order do this next step:>
Type "Filechop.exe wiikey.1.9s.us.iso 1459978240"
Type "Filechop.exe cfg.1.9.us.iso 1459978240"
Remember type these commands without the " quotes and change the text to match your region. In my example, my commands where for a US console.
If successfull, you should have both the iso's with a size of 1.35GB.
If correct, open up Imgburn set the burn speed to 2x and burn each one on a DVD-R
Next boot up the Firmware disc and update to 1.9s, Reboot and then boot the Config 1.4 disc afterwards and enable your settings.
And there go updated wiikey chip with 1.9s.
Enjoy!!!

I was using Brick Blocker and discovered that it does not take the updates off properly had to do 1 game 4 times!!!!
Switched to Wiu 1.1 and it is great....it even tells you if there is an update required when you load the iso file and it patches the update like a charm.
It is also a region changer as well so you get 2 apps in one! :)

hey, just wondering if wbfs manager will auto block brick for you? Since it scrubs garbage files, and I think it removes updates as well, so?
