View Full Version : WiiKey Config Disc 1.9s US is out!

I checked last night and the US version of the 1.9s config disc still wasn't out, but now I just checked again, and they finally released the config disc!

downloaded this file cfg.1.9s.us.iso, but ImgBurn could not burn this file which is not ISO format. Then how to burn this file?

Hmm.. Try renaming the file to something like config19sus.iso as maybe ImgBurn is confused of the extension being that there are so many periods in the filename.

SOLUTION:

1. Extract the downloaded archive in winrar
2. Open winrar and then open the extracted cfg.1.9x.us.iso file
3. Double-click that file in winrar
4. Extract what looks to be the same file to a different location
5. Burn!

Tested and works perfect...

It's been online for quite some time now. Don't know what took the WiiKey website so long to post it though.

SOLUTION:

5. Burn!

Tested and works perfect...


or you could right click "extract here" then just burn the 1.9x.us.iso file right from that loaction........

That is the leaked version that you are talking about.... it is different than the official release... i have confirmed this with md5 check...

which version were you referring to again? the new 1.9s us version ?
haven't downloaded it yet, is this for real?

The ISO is perfectly fine, however your version of ImgBurn is not, update it...

There are two copies of cfg.1.9s.us.iso, 9.12 MB (9,568,256 bytes) which is a good one. 6.96 MB (7,300,091 bytes) which is a bad one downloaded from Wiikey.cn. That's why I had probelm until I found the right one.

You have a link to the official / latest config disc?
What do we need to change when loading this config disk, if we have the lastest wiikey firmware?

Why would Wiikey post a bad copy of the config disk to their site when a so-called good one (the leaked copy I am guessing) exists? What are the differences? Thanks.

I Downloaded the Wiikey version from their website and also the leaked 9.5mb version and I still get "The ERROR".

Neither of these are recognized by my Wii!!!!

You need to burn the file on DVD disc. I downloaded the us version from Wiikey.cn, but IMGburn could not read that file. Then I found other copy from other site then it worked.

I have been burning them on dvd's, I've wasted 4 dvd disc's so far.

I downloaded the Wiikey version (on their website) and the leaked version found elsewhere on the web... and neither disc's work, it keeps coming up as an "ERROR". Do i burn them as an image on IMGBURN or as a file on IMGBURN or Nero ??

An image on IMGBURN.

The config disc .iso file from Wiikey.cn worked for me first time. Burn the disc at a slower speed.

I burn everything with IMGBRN 3X... never had a problem with any other game, except MK pal version. My Wii does not recognize the config discs??

Do I need to rename the config ISO ??

have you tried gcos?
and perhaps your burner is not the greatest and you need padding

I installed a new dvd burner and I burned Brawl and it worked, now I've been trying to burn Mario Kart and I get "Error", so after 14 discs, I decided to burn another game "Opoona" and now my Wii won't read that game disc. But all my other burned games work in my Wii (Mario,Bully,Brawl,etc..). So manias suggested padding my burner.... I googled padding but still didn't get what it is??

That's probably not your problem though, I would check the quality of discs you're using and try burning at a slower speed.

Yeah it was the disc's, I installed a new burner and it didn't like the DVD's that I use to use on it, so I went out and bought some newer ones and it all worked.

Am I the only one with a 1.9 config disk coaster collection? I burned the firmware disk with no problems and updated but this damn config disk is giving me fits. I have tried the padded version, and I have built my own. I'm going to try again tonight with new media and a new burner...

well i have maybe the same prob, ive DL config 1.9us from the official site, problem it wont recognized by imgburn but nero did recognize with sum "zise" problem. first i though its need to be padded/chopped first (if its corrupted maybe i couldnt even extract that rar file, but it did extracted) . but at the very last moment before doin so, i re-download again from the same site (wiikey.cn). n found it recognized by imgburn n worked perfectly. so maybe if you have same experience, it worth to try re-download it. :-)
