PIN Request

Hi

It seems as though I haven't been heeding the warnings from these forums and have updated the firmware on my Wii from the Super Mario Galaxy PAL game!! SMG won't work as it comes up with the 0001 error but thats not the main problem.

When I try and access the settings and try to update any settings, I am asked for a PIN! I have tried various combinations but they don't work. All other games seem to be fine and work OK.

I bought my Wii last April and it comes with a Wiikey. I have not run any updates on the Wii before, so I'm not sure what to do to be able to access my settings. All help and suggestions are warmly received!!

PS I did upgrade from the same region (PAL), but I'm still having problems accessing my settings as it is asking for a PIN.

I have honestly never heard of this before, what was the last known FW version on the actual Wii (not the WiiKey)?

Ask the person you bought it from what the pin number he put in it was.

Thanks for your suggestions and sorry for the delay in replying.

Managed to resolve it by calling Nintendo and getting them to reset my PIN. Yes it was as easy as that!!

I did contact the previous guy and he said he set no PIN, but it's all good now.
