View Full Version : MS: no Blu-ray 360, Low Feb sales because of supply issues
Aaron Greenberg, group product manager for Xbox 360, has said that "Xbox is not currently in talks with Sony or the Blu-ray Association to integrate Blu-ray into the Xbox experience,". He also said that the Xbox 360 will trail in February as a result of supply constraints, but by April they will e in a very healthy inventory situation.

This is most certainly a defensive mechanism. It's all cool when they're the one leading, and when they're not they want to have an excuse why they're not. Just like several other people said they have seen piles of 360s all over the place. Most likely there's just so much market saturation that of course their sales will slow down.

supply issues??? Where?? Everywhere I go there are always 360s, hell about every store I go to has like 4 Elites, and loads of Arcades and 2 or 3 premiums.
Only people that should be concerned about supply issues is Nintendo with the Wii and the DS.
Oh wait I forgot, I know why there are supply issues, they are all broken.

Only because sony to fact a choice winner, doesn't see the why of this whole resistance from Microsoft.

No. We actually read the article and Microsoft itself assumes the 360 got beat by the PS3 last month.
From the article:
"We definitely expect we will trail in February as a result of our supply constraints," Greenberg said, adding: "By April, we will be in a very healthy inventory situation."
Personally, I don't believe the supply contraints nonsense. The PS3 has built some momentum off Blu-ray winning the format war. How far that momentum takes the PS3 in the future is the question. All I know is that all my friends who are considering an HDTV also want a PS3 for the blu-ray movies. I warn them not to be too hasty, but they're convinced the PS3 is the future. We'll see...

This means that M$ is working on this for sure. WHat ever M$ says isn't happening, you can count on happening. I will quote this when they reveal their lies. Remember, a good rule of thumb is, whatever M$ says, the opposite is true.
Hey M$, you are the biggest corporate liars in the land. How was that 1.6 billion dollar fine from Europe? How about SUn systems and the stealing you did? How about my XBOX 360 that you have decided not to fix anymore because it's been returned FOUR FRICKEN TIMES! See you at the class action you lying jerks!

Oh yes, Microsoft is allowed to have an excuse for poor sales.
It's like the Democratic Primary, It's being rigged by the media.
Example: Xbox 360 Elite, nowhere to be found on the shelf.
Media Response: 360 is selling like a beast.
Example #2: PS3 80GBs are nowhere to be found on the shelf.
Media Response: Sony Discontinued the 80GB due to poor sales.
Pretty pathetic folks. Pretty sad.
