View Full Version : Buy Commando 3 get Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix beta free

Capcom announced today that Gold Xbox Live members who purchase Commando 3 (800 points), will get free access to the Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix beta. The beta will run for 8 weeks and allow battle on a single stage as either Ken or Ryu.


With Capcom touting the SSFII Turbo HD Remix beta as the first of its kind for a digitally distributed XBLA title, Xbox Live Gold members will be able to download an access key for the advanced trial alongside Commando 3 this spring. The beta is expected to be available for play shortly thereafter. The beta period will run for approximately eight weeks, and world warriors will be able to battle it out on a single stage as either Ken or Ryu. According to Capcom, the purpose of the beta is to stress-test the game's network code in anticipation of its full release on XBL and the PlayStation Network later this year.

That pic looks uber badass. I love how Microsoft is forcing dev's to not just give out the same exact game (nintendo *cough SONY). Instead they are forcing them to hd it or revamp the visuals. Good job Microsoft

Forcing =/

I think the reason they get them to make the games HD is to keep the whole idea of the HD arcade.

SF remix is also coming out for PSN. Also, the reason for the beta is to test the netcode, not game balance or glitches. There is no reason for them to give users more content when they dont have to. its not like you are buying the beta, its coming packaged with a $10 xbla game. Im going to guess the only reason the beta will b on the 360 is because of dev tools the 360 has (i tested games for about a month and the 360's tools are above and beyond better than the ps3's in dealing with issues and fixing bugs) and also because of the larger installed base which will help stress test the network to optimize the coding

Yeah I was going to say, give the awesome beta stuff to the console with the controller which is only good for FPS and TPS games

I used the gamersreports.com tutorial to make my own joystick. Except I made mine wireless :D

Works great, can't wait for SF2 HD
