According to reports, someone on the Microsoft.com network edited a Wikipedia article about Xbox 360 hardware problem. Its not clear what was edited, so it is probably perfectly innocent, but the user has made several edits on different articles.

I ran the article through the Wikipedia Scanner and I found a user at Microsoft in Redmond has been making edits to the article over time.

I mean come on guys. If your going to edit Wikipedia for PR purposes at least don't do it from a computer that is going to register as a Microsoft IP. If there are anyone at Microsoft PR reading this tell the user at the IP "131.107.0.73" that they need to be a little more discrete about their removal and alteration of a heavily controversial article such as "Xbox 360 technical problems". The Wikipedia user edited the article at work on a Microsoft.com network on 2007-08-03 and 2007-08-02. They have also made several edits on a variety of articles so I doubt that this user is a press relations agent. I don't think it's a deliberate conspiracy but the appearance of a conflict of interest is there.

Come on M$ you don't see Sony editing wiki saying they have the best games around. If you didn't want hardware problems then you should have done more testing instead of just getting the product out as fast as possible so you can make some money. I mean why the **** do you think the PS3 got delayed a year... Because it was not fucking done... maybe they were getting overheating too but at least the fixed it instead of just trying to make money they released a great piece of hardware. This kind of **** really pisses me off and it why in no way the 360 can be better then the ps3. No games or not at least the PS3 does not have a money hungary corporation behind it... well... at least they test there products until they are done... I am trying to say i have never had any problems with any sony products of any kind but i have problems with M$ products all the time and I am alway unsatisfied. It is like everything the release is still in beta and i know that most of the PS3s software is in beta right now like home but at least you can be sure that it will be completely done when it comes out. If it was M$ behind it they would have released it by now and just fixed the rest in patches just to get ahead of everyone else....rant over

yep, apparently they know how to spell and fix other peoples grammar errors. I wonder if they are going and doing the same thing to Sony's wiki, that page is probably full of them.

Actually, there were several accounts of Sony employees editing Wiki when the PS3 first came out. And they were outright deleting things, not correcting grammar. ;)

Thats true i forgot about that. But the fact remains that they release alot of beta crap software and hardware and don't wait for it to be fully done... *cough* vista *cough*:p

umm... like the fact it needs 2GB of ram and a high-end graphics card to run properly? it's too damn power hungry.
