Bungie have sent out a huge Halo swag bag out to a gamer, after Microsoft wiped off artwork and signatures made on his Xbox 360 console while it was in for service. Bungie kindly sent the gamer tons of Halo 3 goodies including a Legendary Edition Helmet signed by most of the studio staff and a Halo 3 Soundtrack signed by Marty O’Donnel. Microsoft have said that consoles go through a wash-down process before they’re shipped back and also said "There’s no way to replace what you had exactly, but we’re going to try to get you something similar, if not even more awesome.”

pretty nice of them though to offer that stuff. It should have never happened, but atleast they went out the way to make it right.

So nice of them :)

And yes it looks really dusty, its probably their way of saying that the helmet has been with them for a while. He can now snif the dead cells of the programers in that dust (puaj)

I'm sure a new one would come with a boat load of signatures... you just try to not get some dust on something that is sitting out for signatures for a few days

BOOOOOO screw this unfair special treatment.

SO WHERES my swag pack? I can also make up stupid reasons to complain!!!

BUNGIE better send me this swag pack, when I draw HALO characters on my 360 and then get a repair replacment without the drawings.

Im on my 5th replacement console.... DOESN'T THAT OVER QUALIFY ME FOR SOME KIND OF SWAG PACK?

1. Bungie didnt have to do any of that for the gamer
2. Id seriously doubt he'll be complaining over a bit of dust after getting all that for free

Extremely nice of them. That's a good company, right there.

Indeed they are

It was probably standing in the Bungie studios for a while which I believe makes it even better collectible.

who gives a **** about a bit of dust on the helmet?

it was extremely nice of Bungie to do that and as someone said before, they didn´t have to do it, but they did which is really cool!
thumbs up for Bungie!

Well, this gamer specifically asked MS to NOT clean off his 360. As we all know they did it anyways.

Bungie responded by not cleaning off anything, thus the dust leftover on the helmet. :)
