Problem with 1.3.5i PBL

I am using PBL 1.3.5i on a v1 usa xbox 4034. Whenever I had 3 controllers plugged in, pbl runs extremely slow and usually freezes at the "Press A now to enter selection menu!" screen. However, when I use 1 or 2 controllers plugged into my XBOX, 1.3.5i works fine. I am able to load up any of the BFM bios' and go to evox, etc. Anyone know what is wrong? This has been driving me crazy, lol (btw I am accessing PBL as an application rather than using it with an exploit but that shouldn't make a difference right?)

This anomaly bugged me too (and has stopped me using 1.3.5i/1.4 and 1.4.1 for a while) but I recently found that:

a) "Timeout 0" in the boot.cfg prevents it (and the "Romfile" named in there then runs directly).

b) When it stalls like you described (or earlier sometimes, at the USB message) just unplugging any of the "more than two" devices lets it progress to the bios selection screen (and you can then plug the other/s back in again).

I've read it's caused by 3rd party controllers, memory cards and/or the official IR adaptor. However, it happens with any combo of my four official, original controllers (without memory card) and official IR adaptor eh.

Hopefully (because the ozXodus team is generous) when the cromwell code comes out for the next xenium os these problems will be fixed :)

The Focus chip support comes from the fact they shaired their code for cromwell and hence the PBL code was recompiled by Yoshihro to make 1.4

These problems are similar to ones some people have with modchips.
