A dispute over the ownership of a Xbox game between a father (43) and son (18) led to both being up on assault charges in Garnerville. The dispute turned into a street fight involving a baseball bat which led to them both being hospitalized.


Police say a 45-year-old West Haverstraw man and his 18-year-old son were found injured near their home. They suffered head, arm and leg injuries and were hospitalized.

Police say the two young men were involved in a dispute over the Xbox game, with Anthony Malta accusing the other youth of stealing it from his house.

Zeus, you have the story slightly confused. A 43 year-old father, Michael Malta, and his 18 year-old son, Anthony Malta attacked the 45 year-old father and that guy's 18 year-old son with a bat. It was a dispute between 4 people.

WEST HAVERSTRAW, N.Y. - A father and son are accused of assaulting another father and son with a baseball bat during an argument over the ownership of a Xbox game.

Police say Michael Malta, 43, and his son, Anthony, 18, both of Garnerville, were arraigned Thursday morning on assault charges. They were arrested Wednesday night after police responded to a street fight.
