How to play games off the memory stick

First of all, I'm new to this and need a lot of help.

I have a Japanese version of he PSP just updated the firmware to V. 2.0. I had been reading a lot about people can play games they downloaded off the memory stick, but needed a program call UMD emulator. I downloaded the program and did as instructed. copy the UMDemulator folder to root, copy the game folder to PSP, copy the game.iso file to iso folder. when I go and run this off the memory stick, I am getting a currupt file.

can someone instruct me what I did wrong? does the UMDemulator work with firmware 2.0? I also heard about the fastloader v0.7, does anyone have that? thanks, HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP :confused:

you need to downgrade the psp from 2.0 to 1.5 to run umd emulator/fastloader.

There should be a huge thread on the boards on how to do that..

firstly you need to downgrade to Version 1.5 then go from there
