Virtual console will get hacked download your own roms for use on nintendo emulators...(pal wii can use ntsc roms :)

iso loader from sd / network / harddrive

homebrew emulators for other systems

loads of homebrew pong clones

custom firmware....

What do you all think ....will it be a BIG scene like PSP/XBOX:D

there is already a SNES emulator running natively on wii!

And yes, I believe the scene will be massive. the wii is perfect for homebrew.

yes, it will explode, especially if it continues at the rate it is going at right now... iso loading & custom dashboard may be a little bit of a ways off, but i have a feeling its comming..

Who needs an ISO loader when there are already drive chips that do the job with half the trouble? I don't see custom firmware coming to the Wii anytime soon, if you're trying to make a parallel to the PSP scene look into how long it took to get from Swaploit to the first D_A custom firmware on 2.71 (Not counting POCs). It took a lot of dedication and hardcore hackery to ripping the official firmware to shreds and that's a handheld. Custom firmware on a now gen console seems a bit ridiculous IMO. The best we can hope for I think is the ability to run homebrew apps off of burnt discs using some signing program and a drive chip.
