you know about Swap Magic for PS2? well is there something similar I could buy or burn for the wii/GC (allows you to play backups w/o Modchipping)???

Nope. Sorry, not that I know of and I would be surprised if one did come out. The closest thing you could consider is a clip on device if you can't solder (well some soldering is required). but i have no clue how well those devices work.

No, but if you have an older Wii installation's a breeze and well worth the trouble. I remember my friend had the cogswap method on his PS2 and he had to swap in like 3 different discs to get it to work while my chipped PS2 just played the back-up.
