i got an email from cogeco for copyright infringement and my mom is not going 2 let me mod my wii anymore does any1 else know a way to convince her its not illegal and has any1 else receved this email or an email like this.
im in canada and ive done a couple searches and apparently its not illegal here if you have the game can somebody conferm this?

It's illegal to distribute a copy of a game regardless if you own the game or not. If you own the game you can make a personal backup copy but you must rip the disc yourself. Downloading games is ALWAYS illegal.

I myself have gotten a letter from a similar group a few years back, nothing ever became of it... not to say thats the case with your letter, I would just consider not downloading illegally, purchase the games and support the developers.

I modify my console's because I have a small daycare... ever have 3-8 years old kids tossing around discs, not a pretty picture. Sure I do download some of the games (which I own), but only because ripping them is a pain in the ass.

i have a glue gun and glue already and ive gathered up 130$ for a pro 2 mod it. and my mom has to know because i cant drive

dude seriously it isnt gonna work with a glue gun. use the upcoming wii clip if you must..
