Can somebody explain to me why you cant use hot glue to install D2PRO?
It wont melt because it takes like 200 degrees C and as long at the wire is touching the right spot it should work

Because hot glue is an insulator not a conductor. Soldering actually joins the metal of the wire to the metal of the contact to create a solid piece. Gluing the pieces together will relax over time causing the joints to fail.

because you need a metalurgical bond between the two so the solder joins them together with the alloy process meaning when done right they should never come off where as your glue idea is about as good as trying to catch a buttet between your teeth.... just stupid

lol im not the same "troll" as that other guy but u guys never stated why the glue wouldnt work and i think it would work you would just have to redo it every couple months.
when i get the cash for a modchip im gonna try it unless there is something that could perm screw my wii up and if 1 wire touches 2 little metal things on the wii what would happen? would it brake?
Come on Ace, close it already.
You guys aren't gonna fall for this guy twice, are you ?

The problem is that glue is an insulator, it will prevent contact not help it. The viscocity of heated glue is thin enough that getting a wire sufficiently glued down enough to hold and still maintain contact is going to be harder than just soldering to start with.
If I wire touches two contacts depending on what they are will likely at best short out until removed but more likely cause an arc and fry your wii.

ok so i will explain again with a little pic (G=glue W=wire M=metal that u attach the wires to)
GGG
W
M
that makes it so the wire is touching before i glue it witch means the glue wont be in between the wire and metal and well im almost positive this will work has any1 even tried it...i will post my results not soon but within a month so i can see if the glue holds up

Ok I'm ending this now. It's simple. The glue MAY work for a little while, days, weeks, months, but it WILL fail at some point and it very well may damage your wii. If you want to risk destroying your wii go ahead, but this thread is closed.
EDIT: Btw, I dunno who told you that hot glue melts at 200+ C but that's a lie, hot glue melts at well below 200 F, I've had hot glue start melting in my room in the summer, so having it in your wii definitely cannot keep a secure bond when its running.
