Wii won't read backup, not a Wiikey problem...

Hi to all! I modded two wiis, the first one is one of the first d2b, the second latest d2b. The first one won't read backup games (it doesn't even recognize the discs). It's not a wiikey problem because i swapped the two wiikey, the same problem (the second wii works perfectly). It's not a soldering problem (checked 10000 times). Could it be a DVD reader problem? It's the only possible reason (original games work perfectly).

At what speed are you burning your games and what media are you using. I would say try to burn one of the games at a different speed or use different media.
