Er ?
You know how to dump games ?

Needed:
1 DS
1 GBA movieplayer (original) V1 or V2
1 CF of 128MB
1 PASSME (or Flashme)
1 GBA Flashcart (to put dumper.nds.gba on)
NDS Dumper 1.1 SMT

Flash dumper.nds.gba to your GBA Flashcart.
Put GBA cart in your DS and passme with the game you want to dump
boot DS
You see black screen with som einfo from the dumperprogram
Insert CF into GBAMP, Instert GBAMP into DS
Push A
After Dumping the screen will tell you to remove the pasmme with game and reinstert the original game you dumped into the Ds without passme
Done
Remove GBAMP
Remove CF out of GBAMP
Put CF into your cardreader (let's asume it's driveletter Q)
start dumper.exe -> dumper.exe Q:
wait till the dumping to pc hd is finnished
rename the agep.nds, or whaterver to the name if you like

Run the rom through NDS patcher (if it's supported: look @ http://users.skynet.be/DuNe/NDS/list.html )

A. Flash the game to your GBA cartridge and play
B. Run the dump through the Supercard software, copy the dsi rom to your SD or CF and put into your supercard and play
(Be sure ur supercard has FW 1.50)

See

Easy!

Help me!!

when I run the dumper.nds.gba, the NDS display "cannot find secure area"
My GBA Flashcard is EZ1-256(EZClient 3.17/noloader)

Is there something wrong?

Ever figure this out? I get the "cannot find secure area" error as well.

Anybody? Does the flash cart that has the dumper program on it have to be big enough to hold the entire ROM? I wouldn't think so, but I have no other explanation as to why this won't work with any NDS cart I own.

I am also getting this error, even though I follow the directions. A question for those of you with problems, what are you using to run this? If you are using a passme, what brand is it? Mine is an EZ Pass, and I am suspicious that it might be the cause of my problems.

I'm using a small (64 mbit) F2A ultra and my Supercard Passme.

Hi Guys,

just to report I have a supercard and a F2A Ultra (128). Initially I tried doing everything with just supercard (prog does boot) but I got the same error message as everyone else (cannot find secure area). I did manage to dump Metroid Prime demo but that was it and it didn't work. I used the supercard cos I was lazy and couldn't be arsed reinstalling the nightmare software that comes with F2A... well I should have just done it right from the word go. With my F2A card and SMT 1.1 everything worked beautifully :). It should pick up the game size immediately when working and it is really straightforward. If you are struggling at all it is prob down to the equip you are using. Can't verify which other carts work well but F2A rock and so does this dumping melarky. Made me a happy man. It is TOO damn easy. Poor Nintendo.

PS it stumped me initially getting pc dumper to work on XP (Been a while sinec I did dos!). Try going to command prompt - type "cmd" => navigate to folder using old school "cd my docs" etc and the ".." to go back. Once in the folder - type "dumper" with your drive letter. In my case i typed - "dumper e:" and away she went. :). Supercard compatibility is so immense now patching should work with 99% of games.

Meant to also say - I had a passme from my shitty Neoflash (was a sucker who tried the first DS cart) and I suggest using your passme since there is a stage when you are asked to remove passme and just insert game by itself. If you have one use it.

Sorry to revive this old dead thread, but I just thought I would let people know that I solved my problem as well, it was also my flash cart. I tried using my supercard and my ez flash III and neither of them worked, so I just assumed it was my passme. I installed flashme and was still getting the same error though. Then I read somewhere that the ez flash software will screw up some headers when writing to the cart at times, and I guess it was causing the problem. I finally got brave enough to modify my xtreme 512 cart so it will actually fit in my ds, and now the dumper works perfectly. So if it isn't working for you yet, try another flash cart if possible.
