Can this be classed as Wii homebrew if it is still running .dol files and using the gamecube controls?

Yes it is considered wii homebrew. -basically The dol file is running in an expanded gamecube mode environment. Theres no cpu/memoy caps that keep the system locked to to gamecube mode Meaning if needed the application has full access to the wiis extra memory processor power.

If the twilight exploit is a real wii hack, why the hell do you still need a gekko card to load the elf files, whit the 1 MB mark. Is it just a wii way to execute gamecube homebrew?Something smells fishy here, why can't you load this from your wii sd card slot??

The hack is real. I have run it and several others have. TeamTwiizers simply has not yet had enough reverse engineering time to determine the registers for accessing the internal SD slot and create stable code libraries for accessing it. Everyone who was into GC dev and Wii dev already has the SD Gecko, and a lot of modchip owners have one too (for making backups). I'm glad they released it now instead of later.

Well okay, but couldn't you do just a reload from the save to like data1.bin? or are the limits to small??then you would'n need to know how to acces,if you not clean all the code,as it looks for now in the movie from the hack.
Also it would help if they would give the key tough.

There running ported gamecube homebrew in wiimode. No they dont have to use geko sd loader but they do if they dont program the app to use wiis sd card slot. Apparently thats the case here. No real hard wii programming has been done.
This is just very simple proof of concept.

I used this in windows:
http://uranus.it.swin.edu.au/~jn/linux/rawwrite/dd-old.htm
my command line was:
dd-0.4beta1.exe if=tetris.elf of=e: bs=512 seek=2048
replace e: with the letter of your SD card and make sure the path is correct to your elf file. Hope that helps. I removed my second partition with suse and wanted a quicker fix than booting a live CD/DVD. This worked for me hope it helps anyone else.
