When I try to rip data from the GC, i get the message, streaming started, and 3 hours later nothing has happened. on my computer screen phoenix says waiting for data from gc, but nothing
Hmm.. I havenīt used the ripper yet but do you have the pso disk in your gamecube with the warp thing? Becouse the ripper must send a dol to the cube first..
As I said I havenīt used the ripper, but that could be your problem.. sorry if you do that.. but.. iīm just trying to help ;)
Good luck! :)

Sometimes you have to restart the ripping process. I have had it hang on me a couple of times while ripping. Make sure you keep an eye on your PC and TV screen. I think it takes about an hour on average to Rip a game. You should at leat be getting a blue line and percenatge and data rate at the bottom of the display screen on your PC while ripping, and a Data Read (if it stops reading, that is your problem and you have to start over again) on your red TV screen. If thats not happening then you have a different problem.

Yeah, where it shows "Offset Read" that thing should be rolling right along,it shouldnt just be filled with zeros. That is the data being read off of the disc and if its not showing a bunch of numbers constantly changing then you are not getting any data. I got the latest version of Phoenix from www.cubehacker.com ver 1.67 it seems to work well, but it is still a little buggy when it comes to loading my ripped games. Zelda Collection shows the title/game option screens and I select a game and just get a black screen and Mario Kart DD tends to slow a bit when words are flashed up on the screen. I tried to copy my Action Replay CD,but it keeps locking up and I dont think that Phoenix uses the mem cards yet anyway,I got errors when I tried to save to them in Mario Kart DD.

Actually,I think you may want to consider thinking outside of the box (cube) on this one. Check your cables and connections and IP settings and all of that. There is a place somewhere on this website that takes you step by step on how to set it all up using Phoenix. Also,You may just have a crappy connection between your PC and GC. My PC is running an 800 MHZ AMD Athlon processor 256mb RAM and about 60gigs of hard drive space. I dont know how much of an affect all this would have on data transfer etc. but you might want to think about some of that also. I havent seen any posts or anything on if there is a minimum system requirement to run these programs. Glad to help a little bit,I'm still new to this, and just got everything I needed to do all of this with, this past week, but have been reading up on it for a few months now. I'm hoping they add a memory card feature sometime soon and Action Replay codes. Good Luck!

Thanks Shark2003, i checked my network settings and found out that i had bridged my 1394 and my nic card together and that was my problem. i disabled that and 55 minutes later my first backup.
thanks

Glad I could help,I know this **** can get frustrating sometimes and can blur your rationalization.Trust me..I know!! I've wanted to hang myself with UTP (LOL) after dealing with running proxy programs and making my own cables and hooking up to hubs and building PCs and running software that should work but then nothing happens etc..... luckily the GC thing hasnt been much of a problem for me,although I did study alot of this GC hacking stuff before investing the money for the BBA and PSO. A couple of months ago I didnt even know WTF BBA and PSO stood for!! Have fun and happy ripping.
