i'm only trying to help dude chill out.
he says
"I imported SSBB and did a single layer backup. Using the update on the original disk, I am able to play the backup multiplayer fine on my NTSC-U with WiiKey. I would assume that the update on the single layer backup would work fine too. I am guessing that any WiiKey update would solve the DL issues, but my SL backup seems to work fine."

I don't see "offline" anywhere, do you? Isn't it OBVIOUS that the word multiplayer can mean offline AND ONLINE? sort it out on yer own then.

Theres over a thousand other post on the net that say multi player works as well. Y That post is anymore indicating that its relating to online play than the others is beyond me.

multiplayer = multiplayer. the word on its own does not specify online or offline play. "Y" that word would indicate offline only to you who knows, but with this attitude you'll not get help easily.
have fun on yer own :)
