My wii is one of the newset one bought about just last month
i have the latest update on the wii
my Drive Chip is most likely GC2-D2C.
my Drive Pins are most likely not cut.
and i was just wondering what would be the best mod
i could use?
would the mod still be able to work with this update?
and with mods are you still able to update your wii?
thanks for the info

depends whos installing it and how experienced they are at installing really, your only other factor to take into consideration is updateable or not updateable!
d2ckey ,can be a bit of a b@stard to install but very reliable and stable, however cannot be updated.
argon can still be abit of a b@stard to install , has had a few probs with its software but it is updatable , and new firmwares have been made. also its from a superb company who are more into the actual `spirit` of modding , than just in it for the money. not that i`m biased, i actually prefer the d2ckey.
there are other chips arriving but i tend to stay away from new chips until a few people have installed and posted there problems / success.
would the mod still be able to work with this update?
yes at the moment all chips work with all updates.
and with mods are you still able to update your wii?
at the moment all chips work with wii system updates
thanks for the info

I have personally done 50+ installs of the D2CKey and they work great. No issues have been reported what so ever. Once the chip is installed your good to go. Everything works great. Keep in mind that if you don't have much soldering experience I would get a professional installer to take care of it. The solder points are very small and close together. The pins are about as wide as a 30awg wire and spaced half of the 30awg width.
Good luck!

Shouldn't be a problem because they chip works fine with all games currently released.
