Can press the A key on WiiKey upgrade!!!

It might be my memory cos its been a while doing a WiiKey firmware update and cant see the problem I'm having in the forum.

I am booting the 1.9g disc ok and getting to the option which asks me to press A. I press A on the remote, but the remote just flashes the blue lights and the update doesn't progress. I can press reset and it says its good for a firmware update.

What am doing wrong ? I know the answer is gonna make me feel stupid, but I cant remember if there is something I forgot.

The update runs in gamecube mode, not wiimode, therefore it cannot see the wii remote. They want you to press A on the gamecube remote. I'm fairly sure you can press reset on the wii instead of using a gc controller as well.

Hmmm, is there not a key combination on the front which works, or does everyone have GC controllers ?

You need to read more carefully dude.

They want you to press A on the gamecube remote. I'm fairly sure you can press reset on the wii instead of using a gc controller as well.

Press reset on the Wii instead of A on the gamecube pad you dont have. It works.

I knew I was gonna look stupid - thanx. I just read that the RESET just tested that it could flash, not that it performed the flash.
