what's the best modchip around?

I'm looking for one that is reliable, has a low risk of bricking your wii, works with every game, allows you to play gamecube backups, and runs homebrew and emulators. Which ones should i be looking for?

It's not the console or the machine. The person makes this mistake by either not patching the backupped game with WBB or playing with a game disc that isn't your region.

basically all modchips can play gamecube games. But modded consoles will NOT play everything you put it. Go here (http://wiitracker.nintendo-scene.com/add.php)and put your wii serial number and you'll find out what chip you have. For a guaranteed way of knowing what your chip is, just disassemble your wii and look.
