wii blown drive. cant play my clasic games

i burned up my drive sorta put the switch on wrong and well the drive burned a nice red hole through my chipset. but my wii apears to be fine. not the drive. but when i go to load a clasic game my wii gos to a black scean after a second. i dont know why.

the only thing i can think of is the system realizes ther is no drive in the unit and gose blank.

idk any ideas would be grate full.

ordered new drive wil be here saterday.

plz anyone who knows anything about this please let me know.

had a similar problem. do you mind selling/giving me your old drive? i want one to mess around with.

when my dvd drive was disconnected from the wii, my wii would work fine (minus the dvd part) and i could play virtual console games for about 1 minute. then it crashes and i have to restart manually. however, i plugged in my broken drive and i tried it again and it never crashes. i tested for hours and it was working fine.

right now a guy on ebay is selling d2b chip sets.

well i think i killed my drive a lil more then you did the wii plays virtual console games for a seconed or to then crashes with or without the drive. i burned both chips in my board that my be the issue. i would be glad to sell it to you if it could help a fellow modder. but you would have to wait untill i am certin i dont need it far any parts. i will pm you the details once i get me new drive.
