I'm going to have the D2CKey installed by an 'expert' and wanted to know what questions I should ask him before he does the install?

Also I understand with the D2CKey there a some Optional connections and jumper settings, what are these options and why would I NOT want the installer to carry out these optional connections/jumpers?

Is there any reason I should not go with D2CKey? My only concern is that there is no place where it says this chip can be updated.

Is there a list of Games which will NOT work with D2CKey?

Thanks in Advance

The best advice for you is to search around. The D2C Key would probably be the best bet for you.

so far I all NTSC games work that I know of, the d2ckey is NOT updateable, but the same makers made a new chip called the d2pro which IS updateable an less solder points might wanna check it out.

you could get a d2b chipset and just get a cyclowiz. idk
or you could wait for the d2pro
half the wires half the chance of messing up.

ebay has d2b drives right now if your interested i just got one.

Best question to ask is: "Have you done some soldering before?"

If not, run away fast!! :D

Thanks for all the responses.

No I have never soldered anything and that is why I'm looking at using services of an expert.

I read a little about the D2Pro and may be that is the future and the way to go although will probably need to wait a month or two to see what people think. Again I would use an expert regardless of whether there is 5 solder points or 32.

Hopfully the D2Pro gets good reviews.

The one thing that will be interesting is to see if the D2Pro will be undetectable as the D2CKey is claimed to be.
