Have you tried installing the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack?

That has tonnes and tonnes of codecs, it might be in there.

Try installing SonicStage from Sony. Though you will probably never want to use it (other than to create AT3+ files perhaps), it installs an AT3+ codec for WMP. I believe this is the codec used for the movies, so may enable sound.

I doubt the atrack would work since atrack 3 and at3 use different headers. You'd have to tell the pmf files to somehow use those codecs.

It has already been proven that the Atrac3 codec will make a SND0.AT3 that the PSP will play. Is it that off the wall to assume that this codec may be able to play the AT3 format the PSP uses?

Also, you don't tell WMP anything, it reads the stream and typically decides on it's own what codec to use.

The linked codec doesn't work with AT3+, only AT3 (see date).
Afaik there is no AT3+ codec available that supports AT3+ wav files. Sonicstage includes one that allows to play AT3+ from a special Sony container but not from UMD files or WAV with AT3+.
If we had an encoder/decoder we could not only play UMDs, we could also downsample game sound to lower quality to save space.

Its not so good but you can have the sound if you download the sound file of the movie and play it at the same time you play the movie. This is a way to have the sound if you want to watch it from your computer.

Just found [GUIDE] Convert PMF to AVI WITH Audio!!
Coudn't test it until now, but maybe worth a try ;)

Original Audio available, thanks to Z33's Atrac3 file decompressor.
Yellow OPTION is to use Original audio.
Green OPTION is to use any other audio.
