DEV HOOK V0.22 & UMD Emulator V0.8C Only for 1.50 firmware

I used a custom Icon and Background From http://pochistyle.pspwire.net/
And a SND0.AT3 From the Movie War Games "Shall we play a Game?".Also hid the corrupt file icon.

Please Read the .txt file

Side Note: Copy UMDE 1 "first" to your psp game folder and then copy over UMDE1~1% next.Same goes for Dev Hook.If you don't do it this way the loader wont work.

This release doesn't add any new games to the compatibility list but it has another cool feature. It lets you play ALL the games that Umd Emulator supports WITHOUT a umd in drive! Here is how to setup everything.

1.Install Devhook v0.22 and Umd Emulator v0.8c onto your memory stick.
2.Copy the iso you want to run to the iso folder
3.Run umd emulator, just choose the iso and press "x"
4.Now run devhook 0.22 and choose the iso you have copied to ms.
5.Press start

Big Thank's to everyone involved in the PSP scene!

Thank you for your contribution, but which settings should I use in UMD Emulator? I refer in particular to the "ISO emulation mode": if I choose off or system menu, pressing X exits and it is like I did nothing. If I choose direct or copy load, it crashes and I have to reset.

Moreover, I have read somewhere that using the two tools together means that in DevHook I can launch the UMD and not the isos!

DevHook is capable to launch a good number of isos itself without the help of UMD Emulator. The advantage of using them together is:

- having UMD Emulator doing what it is best at: emulating the UMD
- having DEVHook avoiding the hardware control on the presence of a real UMD, and launching this way the "fake" UMD that UMD Emulator created

Am I wrong?

Great help you've been. I've been able to backup and play Winning Eleven 9, a 2.50fw game, with this method.

And to answer your questions underworld, no umd is required, the iso emulation mode must be in "System menu" leave all the other settings as default, then go to iso and press x. It will take you to psp main screen with no umd available. Then go load devhook, choose your iso that you chose in UMD emulator, set other options like clock speed, and press start. Still amazes me how Winning Eleven 9 played. This works with GTA I bet. No official UMD running though. :(
