Chris Priestly, the BioWare community coordinator yesterday posted an enticing messaging at the offical Mass Effect boards in which he stated "If I were you, I'd be around here at 10am tomorrow." We're not sure what's so special, but will be revealed today (the message was posted yesterday). He's working on MST time, so that leaves around 30 minutes until all will be revealed.

To date, over 1.6 million gamers have explored the engaging sci-fi universe of Mass Effect. Beginning on March 10, fans everywhere will be able to expand the “Mass Effect” experience with the release of the first ever downloadable content for the award-winning saga.

The Bring Down the Sky downloadable content pack will be released to Xbox LIVE Marketplace on Monday, March 10 at 2 a.m. PST, and will be available for 400 MS points. This is the first in a series of planned downloadable content that further expands the Mass Effect universe and continues the adventures of Commander Shepard and the Normandy crew.

Bring Down the Sky includes a new uncharted world that introduces the notorious and feared alien race of the Batarians. A Batarian extremist group has hijacked a mobile asteroid station in the Asgard system, setting it on a collision course with the nearby colony world of Terra Nova. Only Commander Shepard can save the millions of innocent civilians before the asteroid completes its deadly descent.

Bring Down the Sky contains approximately 90 minutes of heart-pounding action and a new Achievement worth 50 Gamerscore points.

Mass Effect is exclusively available on Xbox 360 and is rated M for Mature by the ESRB.

i thought the game was way way too mediocre for my liking.a very boring draggish game abnd extra content will probably make it even more draggish as if it wasnt already enough.

Now thats the way to do DLC around an hour and a half of new places to explore that arent tied to multiplayer for $5. Good News! I'm not far enough into the game to need dlc at the moment (still bouncing between it and uncharted) but love it so far so I will buy it for when I am ready.

hmm, this is awesome 5 bucks for 90 minutes of entertainment? Not to bad if you ask me. A movie cost 10 bucks near me for about the same length of entertainment. I will definitely be buying this when it comes out.

I'm not a big fan of that game but it is technically impressive that i'll give it any day.

To me that news just sends a big slap-in-the-face to Sony... I'm a PS3 owner and I REALLY enjoyed games like Heavenly Sword, Uncharted and such but Sony always keeps on announcing no DLC. Well, that sucks. There must be a reason why, maybe they don't make enough money with the games...

Don't ask yourself why I have a Gold Account and buy more on the 360!

Live didnt really get moving on the dlc until there were well over 10 million 360's sold, my guess is its all due to expected demand, as the user base grows the PS3 will get more since the likelyhood of recouping the costs will be more likely. I didnt care for Heavenly Sword but totally agree about Uncharted I would love to see dlc for that. Im just thrilled to see single player games being given some DLC attention...its neglected far too often. Now if only they would do the same for Bioshock :)

I agree and now the mass effect count is the same as kotor on xbox.. its just a shame when the pc version goes live we will miss all the user created adventures.
