Bungie's next game promises to be totally different to Halo

Speaking in their latest podcast, Bungie revealed that the groups next game will be something totally different from Halo. The director of community affairs chipped in by saying that what he's seen so far of the ultra secret game is pretty cool. But that was as far as the team would go...

Interesting how Bungie (Halo) and Retro Studios (Metroid Prime) are both doing
the same thing at roughly the same time. After both have finished their trilogies,
they now are working on a *NEW* project that folks will supposedly *LOVE*.
Meanwhile, Silicon Knights are late to the trilogy party...but let's hope their games
end up as good as both Halo and MP ended up for their respective fans. I am
so looking forward to seeing how Too Human ends up.

Halo Wars is coming, but a while back they said they were working on a new IP all together, and the rumors at the time suggested that its was another FPS. I would really hate to see another FPS, but there is always a possibility they might be working on something more realistic looking than the sci-fi fantasy art direction acheived by Halo.

Id be ok if it wasnt halo, but they do multiplayer real well so Id atleast like it to be a fps. I know we have so many on the market, but they have a knack for good controls. I think creating a whole knew universe would be good for them.

They made a game, released an online demo, modified it based on the consumer results, marketed the hell out of it, and sold millions of copies.

pretty sure halo wars will be not very good, I played the OLD halo which was basically halo wars and it just wasn't very good, bungie is goin backwards not forward

Halo Wars is an RTS made by Ensemble Studios, the same guys who made the awesome Age of Empires and Rise of Nations games. They also made Age of Mythology and Rise of Legends too which were above average RTS games to say the least.
