Nipples censored in Age of Conan

Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures developer Funcom has revealed that it has censored some parts of the game in the US & Germany to make sure it does not get rated adults only. Gamers will not see the nipples of naked ladies in the US version. The German version of the game will have full gore and nudity but will not feature decapitation, dismemberment or excessively graphic fatalities. The rest of Europe however should get an uncensored version.

"If you buy the US version, you will not see nipples," community manager Shannon Drake wrote on the official Age of Conan forums.

"Please note this isn't a design decision or something we can reverse," noted Drake. "It's a legal (or as good as legal) requirement to sell the game in that particular territory."

I never really understood what's the big deal with nipples. If you just cover the nipples you're still looking at boobs. Anyways hope they don't go all Holy Crusade on this game as well, not that I'm planning on getting it.

Its kinda hard to figure out what position he is trying to take on this one, but in case you hadnt figured it out by his weekly racial tirades, he's Muslim, fundamentalist Muslim actually and has repeatedly said the whole world should be under Sharia law (where they do fun things like cut off body parts for petty crime, public stoning, covering women in Burkka's and basically treat everyone who isnt Male and Muslim as second hand citizens).
