According to a rumor in the March issue of EGM, Capcom has decided to leave the sequel of Dead Rising in the hands of a North American developer. The rumor suggests that the developer is based in Los Angeles.

Well, Dead Rising has to be one of the 10 best games ever made. It's highly under appreciated though. I just hope they keep the same kick ass formula. Why mess with a good thing? Oh, we need multiplayer as well. Killing zombies with friends would be the best!

It is really one of the best games ever made but it lacks co-op play. I find it too overwhelming because of the mass zombies and it is a tad bit to hard.
With co-op it would be simply fantastic, and even a system-linked multilayer zombie frenzy would be satisfying.

Games developed in the west don't have the same spiritual positive waves ("Barakah" in Arabic) and polish as games developed in Japan so if this rumor/rumour is true the game will be pretty lame :(

I am pleased to see so much love for this great game here in this thread. I agree that this is one of the greatest games ever made and a true classic. I am very excited to play the next one.
